Basic Driver Awareness 2-3 May 2026

A group of new and old members joined our Driver Awareness Facilitators to learn the basics of four wheel driving. With the course covering theory and practical application in vehicle techniques, our instructors make sure our members are well-equipped to prepare their vehicles, tackle a range of obstacles and recover safely when needed. |

Yengo National Park 26 April 2026

Yesterday our Vice President took a group of 8 cars out to Yengo National Park visiting Baiame Cave, Three Poles Lookout and Finchley Lookout. The group even found a fellow traveler out on the track and invited them to join the convoy, providing valued advice to make their journey a little easier. With stunning weather and rugged tracks, it was a great way to spend a day in the bush. |

Ladies Weekend 20-22 March 2026

Seven ladies from the Club headed to Jimmys Beach for a social weekend of relaxation and water activities as well as a touch of retail therapy. What happens on a lady's trip stays on the trip!! |

Vice Presidents New Members Trip

This was an extremely well subscribed and successful day trip run by our Vice president Geoffrey Nothnagel in the Watagan State Forest The group was so large they split into two groups with the more experienced members being led by Shane Tapscott. |

Clean Up Australia Day 2026

Several of our members showed up with gloves, rubbish bags and trailers to assist clean up in the Wallaroo State Forest, just north of Raymond Terrace. It was extremely successful with the crew removing many tyres, several burnt cars as well as several trailer loads of garbage. Just one of the ways our Club demonstrates our respect for the bush. |

BCFing Weekend 13-15 Feb 2026

What a fun time was had by about 30 members enjoying a weekend of water activities at Glenbawn Dam. Thanks to Lisa and Scott Good for organising the Love Boat (Valentines) themed event. |

Watagan & Yengo National Parks

About eight members were led by Ray Kaltenbacher on another exploration drive of the Watagan State Forest, taking in Boarding House Dam, Hunter and McLeans Lookouts as well as the old wreckage of a Cessna 172 Skyhawk. |

St Albans & Beyond- January 2026

A small group of drivers were led by Ray Kaltenbacker on an extremely hot day. They travelled Circuit Flat Link Track, Wollombi Track to St Albans and Wheelbarrow Ridge Trail to Putty Road and then Howes Valley trail which proved to be in far worse condition than when the last group went this way finally ending at Wollombi tavern for some well earned refreshment. |
