Stockton Beach

2 September 2023

A fun day was had by 11 vehicles at Stockton Beach. After “fuelling” up at Maccas Williamtown, the group proceeded to the beach access at Lavis Lane to air down and get a debrief. The group headed south looking for the wreck of the Sygna but unfortunately it was not to be seen. Morning tea was enjoyed at the base of a large dune where some 4WDing skills were put to the test. This was followed by a visit to TIn City and a drive north along the beach to Anna Bay for lunch before turning around and retracing the route south.

First Aid Course

26 August 2023

A big thank you to Sue and Don from Express First Aid for delivering an informative First Aid course to a handful of club members over the weekend at We Leaser. Everyone left feeling more confident that they might be able to save a life.

Touring the Touron

10-12 June (Long Weekend)

Fantastic (but cold) weather was enjoyed over the long weekend. The journey started at Bylong where a few camped Friday in readiness for the meeting next morning. Then traveled to Hillend via Rylestone for morning tea. Lunch at Hill End but too easy to order a lunch at the pub and sit in front of the open fire. Camped on the river and a good night had around the roaring fire. Then onto The Diggings campsite. Traveled the length of The Bridle track. Travelled home on the Monday and greeted by the holiday traffic coming along Bells Line of Road. Great weekend and thanks to Lachy for leading the crew through the great tracks and trails and getting us back out again.

Camp Quality – Stockton Beach

7 May

Fantastic day out with Hunter association member clubs providing 4wd transport with Camp Quality. All kids and family said they had the best day. Great to help out. BBQ lunch then sand hill slides. Just got the day finished when the rain and strong winds hit.

Mandalong to Bilpin Day Trip on the Dirt

29th April 2023

It was a fantastic day out with 20 club members on the trip. We stayed on as much dirt as possible from Morisset to Bilpin via St Albans, we started on Prickly Ridge Road and drove through the Watagans and onto part of the Great North Road, through to Mogo Campground for morning tea and Lunch at the Settlers Arms then a leisurely drive to Bilpin where we then made our way home. Weather ok with a little light rain that kept the dust down. Thanks to Bob and Monica who planned the trip but unable to attend.
