Out the back of the Zig Zag railway, the Newnes Plateau is a renowned 4×4 playground, this trip is going to be an easy tour of the Newnes Plateau ideal for newer drivers. We’ll be visiting The Lost City, the glow worm tunnel (bring a torch), Aboriginal art.

Saturday evening’s camp is at Newnes campground, be prepared for a cold camp and please bring a bag of firewood.
Sunday morning is a bushwalk from camp to explore the Shale mining ruins at Newnes.  This is an amazing look at man’s ingenuity and tenacity.
