Membership Benefits

The Central Coast Four Wheel Drive Club is very fortunate to have access to 30 acres of farmland near Dungog, where we are able to camp in a semi-bush environment at "We-leaser". It is a great place to relax and unwind while socialising with fellow club members. It is also close to several state forests where members can hone their four wheel driving skills.

The club offers a Driver Awareness programme to Club Members to assist in the development of essential driving skills to correctly and safely operate a 4WD vehicle, particularly in off-road situations. The course is offered in two stages; basic and advanced, both over a full weekend of theory and practical exercises and is held at We-Leaser.

Our Club is a member of the 4WD NSW & ACT Association, which gives us access to exclusive camping areas, training programmes and discounted insurance with Club 4X4. So click on the link on the Home page to learn more.

Membership is open to anyone – you don’t need to live on the Central Coast.  You just need to meet these four requirements:

1. You need to be at least 17 years old*.
2. You must own or have access to a road registered four-wheel drive vehicle.
3. Your vehicle must have third party property insurance as a minimum.
4. You need to agree to abide by the rules, by-laws and policies/procedures of our club.

* Members are not eligible to vote or be on the committee until age 18.

To apply for membership, you will need to complete an application form, either online via this website or manually at a Club general meeting. You will be required to pay the joining fee and annual subscription. The application will be referred to the committee for approval/rejection, and you will be notified in writing of the outcome of your application. If successful, you will be sent a welcome email with your membership details and further information about our Club. Your name badge should be available to pick up at the next meeting. In the unusual event your application is rejected, any payment will be refunded.

Membership fees for the 2026/27 financial year per person are $50 one-off joining fee and $55 annual subscription = $105 per person.

Children 17 and under are exempt from fees, unless they are 17 and hold a valid driver's licence.
