Great effort when you break down the figures!

Once again thank you for your support and contribution on the day. Each 4wd club should have received a framed certificate of appreciation as their bragging right.30 sq mtr and a 4 sq mtr bin at Lavis Lane and a 15sq mtr bin at Birubi Beach

At Lavis Lane we had 284 Volunteers. By Zone Purple 108 White 85 Yellow 20 Red 71 At Birubi Beach (Anna Bay) we had 164 Volunteers When we broke down the figures we came up with an impressive.

Averaged per person over 26km of beach. An average of 22 kg of rubbish, per person removed. 58 mtrs of beach front cleaned per person for the 3 hours allocated.

On behalf of the Hunter Region, and I am sure I can include the whole of 4WD NSW & ACT in saying,

Thank you, well done to all the volunteers who gave up their time to join in. If you attended this year and think that we can make improvements, please either email me directly or post on the forum.

Next year, I have asked for 6 months notice, also permission for all participating Clubs to be able to camp on the beach on the Saturday without permits.

So keep an eye out for next October’s Stockton Beach Cleanup. Perhaps we could turn this into a mini gathering???
